But getting to “embrace” in our times isn’t easy. Watch Free Hugs again: what does it take to begin overcoming the obvious wariness, distrust, and fear of physical contact? How long to begin to dissolve it?

Boxing is okay, and football, with its “hit ’em again, harder, harder”, is okay. But rescuing hugs? How many lonely angels wander on foot among us?

    There’s a small girl in one of my second grade classes who says to me every day, “Here’s your present, Ms. Clarke,” and she hugs me. Happily there are still people in the world who believe in the value of hugs 🙂
