… we are each of us angels with only one wing,
and we can fly only by embracing each other.

But getting to “embrace” in our times isn’t easy. Watch Free Hugs again: what does it take to begin overcoming the obvious wariness, distrust, and fear of physical contact? How long to begin to dissolve it?
Boxing is okay, and football, with its “hit ‘em again, harder, harder”, is okay. But rescuing hugs? How many lonely angels wander on foot among us?
Becoming human is the work of a lifetime : )

Nice to see this post again – I bumped into The Kindness Offensive group back in March while I was on a march 😉 Sorry, I didn’t grab a hug – their bus was a warming enough sight for me 🙂 Perhaps I will next time!

It puts a lump in my throat whenever I see the “Free Hugs” segment. Hadn’t heard of The Kindness Offensive group before, so thanks for passing it along. The more of this the better, like antidotes to the snake poison so plentiful in our political climate —
And do grab a hug next time! It makes their day — as well as yours! 🙂

Sending virtual hugs. Hugging is one of the perks of my job – the kids are so affectionate and my day begins and ends with lots of small arms around me 🙂

I love this video. It’s one of my favorites alongside Bodhishattva on the Metro. I have it up on my blog, too! Hugs are one of the best things in the world 🙂

I don’t know Bodhisattva on the Metro — if I search for it on your blog, is it also there with Free Hugs? Next week I’ll be free to browse!
