I’m becalmed. Maybe it’s the rotten cold I’ve been suffering through since last Friday — but it’s time for a new post here on T2T and the creative juices are all dried up. Or stuffed up. Whatever.
So I thought this morning, how about a challenge to get things going again? Toss me a thought, a phrase, a quote — and I’ll do what I can! First three suggestions win my best shot at new posts. Deal?
Ok! How about you write a post about this quote “Do not anticipate trouble, or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight. ” – by Benjamin Franklin and relate it back to your life!

Okay, Marge — that will be #1, start time tomorrow!

You’re on, Joss. I didn’t know this quote, but it’s a great one. #2 on the runway, some time this weekend.

excellent. I’ll look forward to that. Funny thing is, after I sent you that quote, I realized it is pertinent to my situation right now.

I would love to know what motivated you to start and continue blogging. And, do you have a great chicken soup recipe? If not, maybe we should send you one. 😉
I hope you feel better very soon Judith! Warm thought are being sent to you today to chase your miserable cold away.

Tara, you really made me laugh about the chicken soup, and believe me, making a person with a miserable cold laugh is a mitzvah. I can always use another chicken soup recipe. I actually have a good recipe, the problem is when you feel rotten with a cold, you don’t feel like making it! Send me some virtual soup!!!!!
😆
(First three improvs already in, as you can see here; maybe sometime I’ll do a blogpost about blogging, though.)

Hi Judith – Very late coming to this Improv session… Here’s a quote that speaks of the underclass of society. It comes from the song Blowin’ Cool by the band Swervedriver.
“Without a watch you get to know the time… is right for crime.”
Illustrates starkly the difference between the have’s and have not’s
Not sure if you would want to write something around that?

Very definitely not sure either, Martin!
But I bet it will stick in my mind, for future purposes?

Thanks for keeping it in mind Judith 🙂 Sorry, but most of my quotes are likely to be from contemporary music or films rather than classic literature or famous people 😦

Since mine are not likely to be contemporary like that — your quotes will have a timeliness and freshness and originality that’s refreshing and stimulating.

Thanks for thinking of me, John.
They’ve got some warnings on the website that raised at least one of my eyebrows, though.
I’ve waded in with both feet responding to the first improv challenge, and two more are waiting in the wings, so I’m good to go for a while!
(This is also turning out to be a lot of fun 😉

Ah, my friend – I sympathize. A nasty head-cold, sinus somethingorother settled in on me two weeks ago, threatening both my sanity and my approaching vacation! My kitchen counter was full of both eastern magic potions (there’s a great line of Traditional Medicinal teas you should try: Throat Coat, Gypsy Cold Care, Breathe Easy) and western scorched-earth chemicals. Garlic is a must. And this gem of a recipe for Chicken Soup was a blessing: http://wendyellenthomas.com/2012/03/29/chicken-soup-with-glass-noodles. With some Sambal Oelek on top? A perfect antidote. Get well! xoxo

That looks like quite an elegant, light and sophisticated chicken soup — but when I have a nasty head cold, it’s lacking one important ingredient — someone to cook it for me! Cause I’m sure not up to cooking it for myself then!
But I’m feeling much better now, planning on returning to cardio rehab tomorrow morning. I missed a whole week, so it’s time to get back in action.
Thanks a lot for the wishes, Jen!
