About Me

I’m a free-lance philosopher with a kaleidescopic background —suitable for a blogger!— and a published writer (novel, memoir, articles, short stories).

But writing blogs is the most rewarding, not to mention, FUN, of all.

A peep through the kaleidescope: a degree from Wellesley College in Economics (wrong!); subsequent graduate work in English Literature (where I belonged all along). Training in addictions counseling and chaplaincy; eight years in Campus Ministry at Manhattan’s Fordham at Lincoln Center. I lived in the big city most of my life, then moved to more rural settings and breathed a new air —Currently enjoying life in Northampton, MA, a small town that’s capital-D Different.

I love: the French language, things Japanese, art, mystery stories, double crostics, food (including cooking it), photography, and conversations. To me the give-and-take of conversation is the breath of life, and I do my best to encourage it on both my blogs, this one and A View from the Woods —

Welcome to Touch2Touch!  Look around, browse through the archives, join the conversation if you’re so moved — then move on over when you have time for a look at the View —I’m always happy to see you, here and there!

I just read your “la di da” comment on the Southern New England board and had to find you to tell you that started my day with a big smile. HA HA HA! I always picture Diane Keaton saying that line repeatedly in “Annie Hall.” Happy eating to you, wherever you journey!

      Well, thank you, Katty!
It made me smile thinking about Annie Hall when I wrote the comment, and I’m smiling even more watching the clip you sent!
Many many thanks, perhaps we’ll meet in an authentic Chinese restaurant some day? Well, la di da!

Saw the link to your blogs at the bottom of a forwarded email (another bad joke) from Storch…started reading…and reading…and reading–wonderful. So fresh and engaging. I’ve spent far too much time here this morning, but I wanted to let you know. And, to say hi. Been a long time.

      Hey, Bruce!
You’re not kidding, it’s been a long time. But I hear about you and your family A LOT. No surprise there —
Glad you enjoyed, and hope you’ll have more time to spare now and then.
You’re an Ideal Reader I had in mind.
