Still – in a way – nobody sees a flower really –
it is so small – we haven’t time – and to see takes
time, like to have a friend takes time.

Even the United States government loves the poppies of Georgia O’Keeffe:
Nobody may see a flower — except maybe William Blake:
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
Blake, who also knew the “sick rose”–
O’Keefe captured the diaphanous quality of the poppies’ leaves —

Blake, who wrote tersely, paradoxically (or not) knew the value of time well spent!

To see takes time – yes, indeed! And we DO have the time, we just choose not to spend it in looking…
School ends June 22, and after a celebratory weekend with the grands in Andover, I will be home and free, free, free! I promised Cass I would help with the baby during July so as soon as I know when I will be in Florence, I’ll let you know and we can make plans. Cass and Ada want to meet you!

Time is such an abstract concept … but it’s all about how we choose to spend it. We don’t know how much of it we have, so … as usual … I just do the best I can with my quota. I love that poppy.

It seems like many things in life that are *truly* worth having take time… so the question is, are we willing to FIND the time?

A new angle — well worth considering —
